Anticipation

I'm so excited!  Tonight is our family date night.  We have a long standing relationship with the theater in the next town over.  My brother used to perform in plays and musicals there back in his college days.  In fact, he even proposed to his wife (who at the time was playing the opposite leading role) on stage in front of a live audience.  Great memories.  Well, a  few years ago I bought two season passes to this theater.  They produce seven shows a year.  We have never ever been disappointed.  I gave the tickets to my honey for Christmas (that year and several thereafter).  He would choose someone to accompany him to each of the shows.  You know, a special Daddy Date Night.  He rotated between all of us.  Inevitably he would come home so thrilled about what he had seen that he would want to take the rest of us.  This happened every single time.  So, last year for Christmas we bought five season passes.  (Spendy?  yes.  Worth it?  yes.)  We have had so much fun as a family going to the shows this year.  Sometimes, the shows aren't really five year old fodder.  So occasionally we let Lucie go to Grandma and Grandpa's house for the evening and invite a friend along.

Tonight is our last show of the year.  We are all going.  It promises to be wonderful.
