(By S-lady with help from Mom and B-man)
Twas the night before, the night before Christmas
And all through the house
Every creature was stirring
And waking the mouse.
Grandma is baking cookies
And chasing her cat.
The phone rings a lot-
She has long friendly chats.
Grandpa is taking a snooze
He snores really loud!
He peeks at his presents
But that's not allowed!
Mom is busy in the kitchen
Baking cookies, rolls, and pies
For the feast tomorrow at Grandma's
As for tonight it's burgers and fries!
Dad is last-minute shopping.
Running from store to store,
Trying to find the perfect present.
In his opinion "more is more!" (fun that is)
B-man is locked in his room
Working on his Christmas present
For his little sister.
Who is kind and loving and pleasant!
As for me,
Besides writing this story,
I am taping and cutting and wrapping
Each little gift in all it's glory.
The elves are busy working.
Santa is trying not to snack.
The reindeer are jumpy.
Mrs. Claus is filling Santa's sack.
Tomorrow will come
It won't wait for us
Things will be calm then
We won't need to fuss.
So hurry and finish
Those last minute delights.
Merry Christmas to all
And to all a good night!
