Valentine's Day Joy School Style
Thought you might like to see a few pictures of our Valentine's party. We had so much fun. With just two kiddos, it wasn't so much of a party in the traditional sense. But, we made lots of crafts and had a good time.
First on the list--Valentine Crowns! We made a crown out of red paper plates and the kids had a great time decorating them with hearts. They loved using the punches!
Next we made a little carrier to take their valentines home in. Again, we used paper plates. Take two paper plates, Fold them in half. Staple together into a heart shape and add a handle. Once again, the kids had a blast coloring and decorating them. The kiddos practiced their letters and writing by addressing valentines to each other. I sort of stuffed their little carriers with a few little surprises myself!
We played a few fun valentine games, like BINGO and Don't Eat Cupid. We even read some valentine books. Finally, a party would not be a party without treats! The kids frosted and decorated their own cupcakes. We supplemented the sugar with some strawberries and bananas.
