Let me introduce you...

Well, it's been about a month.  I've been taking some heat for the lack of blog posts.  But, let me tell you...there has been a LOT going on around here.  First of all, I need to introduce you to the newest members of our family.

This is Krystal.

This is April.

These are of course their selected American names.  They are both about 14 years old.  They are from Chengdu China.  They have been living with us for the past three weeks.  They participated in an international  summer student program.  We have been having the best time with them!!  I have lots and lots to tell you.  Funny things, interesting things, exciting adventures, menu challenges, and things we've learned about hosting international students.  All in all, it was an amazing success and I won't be surprised if we do it again.  Lucie loved getting to know her Chinese sisters.  And the Lady had an especially grand time interacting with girls her same age.  She was such a huge part of why it was successful.  They communicated best with her.  After all, girls are just girls no matter what part of the globe they originate from.  They all like to shop and paint their nails and sing pop songs, and talk about cute boys.  Our new "sisters" left this morning.  We will definitely miss them!  Maybe we will visit them in China some day.
