Wow, that storm really walloped a punch! We were supposed to be heading for home today. We are stranded. We are not too sad about it. We will hope to head home tomorrow. It's absolutely beautiful here. The trees are heavily frosted. I'd say we got shy of two feet of snow. How shy? I have no idea. We have no ruler. We have no TV. We have no radio. We heard via telephone that the interstate was closed. I think it is open now, but we decided to wait until tomorrow just to be sure. They were predicting three feet of new snow. We feel a little jilted. Oh well. We will take what we get and try not to throw a fit.
Yesterday we had some visitors here at the cabin. Some friends of ours timed their visit just perfectly. They arrived about noon before the roads got really horrible. They left today around noon hoping the worst of the storm was over. We haven't heard, but are hopeful they got home safely. Thanks for coming you guys!! We had a great time and hope that you did too! Thanks for hanging out with us and teaching us some cool new games.
Well, we better go make the most of our last twelve hours here in our winter paradise. We'll catch you tomorrow on the flip side!
