In Full Swing

Summer is going full force around here. It even decided to warm up...and up and up and up! We're having a heat wave now. Sheesh. Exactly one week ago today the local news station issued a freeze warning. Yesterday the temp was 96 degrees. At least the kids can get outside and enjoy the spoils of summer. We are making progress on our list of things to do. We've gone swimming everyday this week (to the local pool, Grandpa's pool, and the baby pool in the backyard). We've had a sewing lesson (which went very well--pictures are forthcoming). We've made clothespin dolls (well only one actually). We've seen several movies. We've attended more than one neighborhood BBQ. We purchased our "bowling pins and ball" from the local bowling alley and had more than a few rousing games in the cul-de-sac (Way fun!) We've set up a portable stand and sold delicious chocolate chip cookies and popsicles. We've also had some pretty stiff ping pong competitions. (Dad no longer wins everytime-heehee). Summer--don't you just love it?
