Cabin Fun

The kids were out of school for Fall break last week, so we headed for the hills! We love our family cabin in Colorado and are so grateful to my brother for sharing it with us. The weather was beautiful! It was warmer there than at home (go figure). On Saturday the weather took a turn and it actually snowed. Gratefully we had left the cabin at that point to spend some time in Denver. The roads were clear and dry by the time we had to head for home. Whew!

The cabin is one of the most relaxing places on planet earth (IMHO). Bman brought a friend and Gma and Gpa met us there for a few days. My brother was also there from Mississippi--it was so great to be with family! We read books and took naps and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. While the ladies were relaxing, the guys were working hard! They stained the exterior logs and hung some paneling in the basement. They chopped wood and got it all ready for the winter. They even did some plumbing, finish carpentry and a couple of small electrical jobs. It was little Lu's first time at the cabin and she seemed to really enjoy it. Here are a few pics for your viewing pleasure!

The kids got a little creative feeding the grey jays this time!

Lucie and Grandma

S-lady loved spending her days painting with Grandma!

Watching a movie with my sis! This is actually the first time Lucie has sat still to watch a movie longer than a minute or so. This pics doesn't really show it, but she was really having a good time!

Lucie sneaks off by herself for a few minutes to read some of her favorite books!

Thanks for letting us come with you to the cabin. It was wonderfully relaxing and we loved it. Especially good to be there with the grandkids.
Love, G'ma and G'pa
