The stars aligned and all three of our children's school schedules had fall break at the same time! So we took advantage and got out of Dodge for the weekend. I found the BEST condo rental in Driggs, Idaho of all places. We hunkered down there in the evenings and spent our days exploring the Tetons. Grand Teton National Park is amazingly beautiful! We did so much hiking--by the third day some of us could barely move. So on that day we did some four-wheeling. It was super fun. We invented a game called "chipmunk firedrill". Every time a chipmunk crossed the road we slammed on the breaks and all switched places in the car. Crazy enough--there are a lot of chipmunks in the park! We saw lots of wildlife. A whole herd of buffalo crossed the dirt road we were traveling on. We were literally a couple of feet away! We also saw some moose, a fox, and a herd of elk. The bear that everyone warned us about were kind of elusive. We didn't mind that so much. Not sure what we would have done if we met a grizzly on one of our trails. We had a great time. It was so wonderful to all be together again!

Looks like a fun trip! My dad was from Tetonia (right up there by Driggs). Beautiful place!
