California Here He Comes!

Well, if you missed all of the hype...The Man received his mission call yesterday.  It was the perfect day.  It just really was.  He received word from the post office at about 7:30 yesterday morning that his letter had arrived.  He willingly left school to run to the post office to pick it up.  Then it sat in his car all day.  He said he didn't trust us with it at home.  Whatever.  It seems like more of a temptation for him to have it with him all day.  But he did great.  He planned to open it in the evening when all of his friends and family could be there with him.  We invited everyone to come over and set up a ustream channel for all of the out-of-towners to watch the festivities.  It was just a lot of fun.  We kind of made a party of it.  If you want all of the party details, head on over to Pretty Petunia.

It was so wonderful to watch him open the envelope and read the letter line by line.  I am just so proud of him!  He will be serving in San Bernadino, California starting in September!! He gets to go to the MTC on the same day as his best friend.  If you can't go to the same mission, at least you can start off the adventure together.  One of my favorite moments of the night was when the two of them tackled each other in excitement.  So much fun.
