Halloween 2012

It's high time that I wrap up Halloween, don't you think?  We had a great time this year.  Lucie dressed up as Perry the Platypus from Phineas and Ferb.  The Man was her escort--he dressed up as Dr. Doofenshmirtz.  The Lady veered from the theme and went as a gold fish.  They were all super cute.  And I think it was the easiest costume prep EVER!

We tried something new this year in the trick-or-treat department.  We decided that with few exceptions we know everyone that comes trick or treating at our house personally.  And they know us.  So, why not do something a little old fashioned.  Homemade treats!  We made 150 hot spudnuts to give out to all of our trick-or-treaters.  It was surprisingly not that much work and very fun!  This could become a new family tradition.

Unfortunately, we were so busy baking that we weren't able to take very many pictures of the evening.  And no pictures of the donuts.  Oh well.  You'll have to just use your imagination.

Happy Halloween!
