Spring Break Day 1

My brother is graciously allowing us to spend spring break at his cabin in the mountains. We spent most of Monday on the road. We love driving and being together. We were greeted as we pulled into the driveway by this:



You might not be able to tell by the photos, but there were two separate moose and they were magnificent! They trotted up the driveway and disappeared into the back property. The snow had drifted quite a bit across the driveway, so we weren't able to drive all the way up to the front door. I was a little hesitant to hike up to the cabin, knowing that there were moose on the loose. But everything turned out fine. It took us about 2 1/2 hours to shuttle the luggage from the car to the cabin. But the sun was shining and we didn't mind it too much. By the end of the evening we were able to drive the four-wheeler from the car to the cabin. We spent the rest of the night snuggling up by the fire and watching dvds. This has got to be one of the most beautiful places on earth. So quiet and peaceful and relaxing!
