Happy New Year! Today is the official first day of the new year of the boar. We were unable to celebrate in style last night because of some scheduling conflicts (it was great grandma's eighty-seventh surprise birthday party). But, we are planning a big party for tonight. Well, I might not go straight to BIG. But, we have invited some good friends over for our second annual Chinese New Year's celebration. We are making pot stickers (my first attempt), egg rolls, beef and broccoli, sweet and sour chicken, and rice. We have fortune cookies, gold coins, confetti, noise makers, games, etc. I meant to buy some mandarin oranges and some chop sticks, but forgot. Oh well. We'll make do. It should be a lot of fun! Let's hope all of our dreams come true this year!
